What is the advantage to hiring a company instead of a private caregiver?
There are a variety of advantages and disadvantages one ought to consider when making the decision between hiring an agency like us or a private caregiver. There are legal implications, safety challenges, lack of available backup and more…
Risks
- Hiring a private caregiver makes you the care recipient an employer with all legal requirement, payroll tax obligations, insurance requirements and more.
- The private caregiver is not per definition checked and thoroughly vetted and trained prior to providing care, including in-person training by registered nurses.
- Liability is a huge risk for you as care recipient. A private caregiver can hurt themselves at your house resulting in them suing you over it.
