What does consistent in-home care mean?
My mom has always been the rock of our family. Maybe you can identify with this scenario? She was always there for us, no matter what. So when she started showing signs of dementia, we were all really worried about her. We decided to get her in-home caregiving so that she could still be comfortable in her own home and not have to go into a nursing home or anything like that. The caregiving has been a great help for my mom. They are there to help her with whatever she needs, whether it’s getting dressed in the morning or taking a bath. They also make sure she takes her medication on time and eats three meals a day. We are so grateful to have the caregiving support for my mom. It has made such a difference in her life and ours.
Pros:
- Caregivers can provide around-the-clock care for your loved one, giving you peace of mind.
- They can help with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Caregivers can also provide companionship and emotional support.
Cons:
- Hiring a caregiver can be expensive. – ways to pay for caregiving
- You may have to give up some privacy in your home.
- You may have to deal with the stress of managing a care
