Carolyn Aijian, RN, CHCM, Executive Director
Carolyn Aijian has been involved in healthcare since 1975 when she became a registered nurse, and has enjoyed many roles in nursing, including working at Huntington Memorial Hospital, an oncologist’s office, a private practice as an internist with a special interest in geriatrics, a camp nurse, a skilled nursing facility nursing supervisor, and a nurse case manager at Santa Barbara Care Management. Carolyn then began her own business, Independent Nurse Consulting, which led to the creation of Complete Care at Home. She has served as a member or president of several boards of directors locally and in the western United States. Carolyn’s hobbies include singing, horses, cooking, sewing, reading and travel.
Kathy Garwood, Payroll & Accounts Payable Supervisor
Kathy Garwood has been with Complete Care at Home since 2006. She is part of the administrative staff with her main role as Payroll & Accounts Payable Supervisor. Previously, Kathy was involved in the administration of Santa Barbara Christian Homesteaders, a local homeschooling group, and was part of the team that oversaw its incorporation. When not writing payroll checks, she can usually be found enjoying her grandchildren.
Katie Lekas, RN, BSN, CHCM, Director of Home Care Management
Katie Lekas was born and raised in Santa Barbara and grew up following her father on his rounds at Cottage Hospital and spending her summers watching her mom work as camp nurse. Following in line with her family’s medical background, she graduated from the nursing program at Santa Barbara City College in 2012. In August of 2013 she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Jacksonville University of Florida. She and her husband live in town with their daughters.
Tracy Lien, Director of Human Resources
Tracy Lien was born and raised in Santa Barbara. An interest in science and the healthcare industry led her to study biology at UCSB. She has been with Complete Care at Home since 2013. As Director of Human Resources, Tracy’s responsibilities cover a wide range of areas, including recruitment and hiring, payroll and compliance management, as well as staff training and support. In her free time, Tracy enjoys getting coffee with friends, exploring the outdoors, and working with the youth group at her local church.
Mary Chavez, Scheduling and Administrative Assistant
Mary Chavez was born and raised in Santa Barbara. She graduated from Ventura Training Institute as a Certified Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide In May 2012. She has many years of experience working in private home care and in a nursing facility. After 11 years of working for Complete Care at Home as a caregiver, Mary was promoted to Scheduling and Administrative Assistant. When Mary is away from the office, she enjoys her time staying active finding new sports and activities with her son.
Daria Ahedo, Administrative Assistant
Daria was born in Sacramento and grew up in Santa Barbara. She graduated from Ventura Training Institute in May of 2012. She has worked for many local doctors and enjoys being in the medical field. She is married and has three children and enjoys attending their soccer games on weekends.
